You tend to go back to who feels like home

  • I had a super nice catch up dinner with Wai on Wednesday. We were supposed to do Japanese BBQ but the place was cloesd and we were both pretty disappointed about it to be honest. For quite a while after we couldn't figure out what we were going to do instead because we didn't feel like going too far, so we settled on Pony. I was hesitant because I've never really been pleased with anything I've ordered from there in the past, but I kept an open mind. Decided to try their chicken steak which came with fries and gravy sauce and I have to say that I was quite impressed! I really enjoyed it and ate everything so I was really satisfied after. Plus it was lovely spending time with Wai. We don't hang out as much as we used to anymore but I really am going to miss her when I go back home in one month.

  • Was quite pleased with myself during my Media Aesthetics class the following day because my teacher had given us time to edit and work on our sound project. I never used the program before and was worried that I wouldn't be able to figure out how things worked but after playing around with it a bit, I came up with something I was really happy with. In fact, I finished half of my assignment and was able to take the five o'clock bus since my teacher let us go early (I'm gonna go into school Monday morning to complete everything with the help of a friend). I met up with Anita on the bus and we ran some errands at both Market Village and Grand Market. I picked up four new nail polish colors: black with red sparkles, red sparkles, grey and dark purple all of which are gorgeous and very fitting for the upcoming holiday season. We ate dinner at the Night Market, though I wasn't very pleased with my choice of food.

  • Yesterday I accompanied Anita on the photoshoot she was having done. There's a guy in our school called Joe who is a photographer and they'd organized this thing ages ago but it kept getting postponed. I thought it would be fun to tag along and see another part of Hua Hin. Turns out though I was quite bored throughtout the shoot since its not like I was doing anything. Not to mention the fact that we were in the forest and I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos. Something pretty funny and traumatizing happened though. I bought an ice cream from the little restaurant they had there because I wanted something to cool me down and while we were walking through the woods, a wild monkey came after me because he wanted the food! I literally threw it at him, screamed and ran away. Anita thought it was hilarious and filmed the entire thing to put on snapchat. While we were setting up in one area for the shoot, a swarm of monkeys came then because they thought we had more food on us and I swear they were blocking our exit so it was like we were trapped. I actually thought we were gonna die. Luckily they gave up after a while and left, but still! Crazy experience for sure.

  • I started watching Jessica Jones last night. Only two episodes in but that's enough to solidify the fact that I am completely and totally in love with this show already. I knew I would be, but I had so many expectations so its good that they are being exceeded. I've always loved Krysten Ritter and she is just so badass here. I'm looking forward to watching more and finding out Jessica's past with Killgrave and how her relationship with Luke develops. All I want to do is marathon the shit out of all thirteen episodes but unfortunately I have some homework I need to do today.
